Last summer I took some shots of a friend's dog - I couldn't post any of them here then as they were for a gift for the owner. They remind me of the glorious days of warmth and sunshine that seem so far away at the moment...

Saltburn Pier

Saltburn-by-the-Sea (to use its full and rather unwieldy name) is fortunate enough to have its own pier. A picturesque spot, it's a natural magnet for photographers - I saw three others on the morning I took this!

This is a long-exposure shot, which means the picture was taken over a relatively long period of time (15 seconds to be precise) - this turns the sea into something like a low-lying fog, which gives a very magical effect.
