Glorious Tiaras

I happen to know the owner of Glorious Tiaras, and looking for a subject to shoot I set out to capture some shots of Heidi at work for her blog. Although the portrait below wasn't exactly what I set out to capture, I noticed the light doing it's magic thing in the subject's eyes and took it anyway...one of the things I like most about photography is the surprise of catching something unexpected.

The Hound

This is my dog, Romulus. I can't take credit for his epic name (he's a rescue dog), but it suits him well. He's a noble looking brute, although getting him to pose isn't easy as any attention directed at him is immediately noticed and he dashes off to fetch toys for you to play with...

Errwood is a beautiful spot in the Peak District, situated on the western slopes of the Goyt Valley. The site of a now-ruined hall, the surrounding wood and moorland feels like it was once a vast garden - rhododendrons abound, and make a spectacular sight when flowering.

Lambs are pretty cute and sometimes seem to pose for the camera - this little one was definitely up to something!
